Family Pool Garden
A new family pool and adjacent landscaping, designed to fit gently into the idyllic Hampshire countryside. The old stone barn formed the perfect backdrop to the design whilst contributing to the whole essence of place. Our brief was a natural, soft scheme that would connect to the wider, rural landscape. A place for the family, entertaining friends yet also solitude.
Riven limestone created an instantly weathered, aged look which was the perfect choice for the terraces. Plenty of space for furniture positioning offered flexibility and space for entertaining. The pool was beautifully crafted by www.fowlerswimmingpools.co.uk over winter so ready in time for the swimming season in early summer.
Ornamental pleached pear trees offer soft, spring blossom, warm autumnal tones and also a gentle division from the house. The planting design included anchoring evergreens, a plethora of ornamental grasses to take advantage of the wind plus a seasonal mix of colour.
