English Country Garden

Working with the existing strong, symmetrical hard landscaping, the bones of the garden was already present in its’ layout. The owners wished to refresh the planting scheme to ensure strong forms and lines in keeping with the parterre layout.

Low box hedges remained whilst the centrally placed box cones continue the formality of the design.

Swathes of softer plants including some of the owners favourites, balance the view. Strong blues, softer violets interspersed with white tones were chosen through the planting. Spring bulbs aid the garden’s seasonal display.

The garden now ensures a cohesive balanced outlook from the main rooms in the house and take advantage of the warm, southerly aspect.
